{"id":5181,"date":"2025-08-06T14:09:26","date_gmt":"2025-08-06T12:09:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stel.asu.cas.cz\/en\/?p=5181"},"modified":"2025-09-22T14:35:52","modified_gmt":"2025-09-22T12:35:52","slug":"chetec-infra-observational-school-chinos-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stel.asu.cas.cz\/en\/2025\/08\/06\/chetec-infra-observational-school-chinos-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"ChETEC-INFRA Observational School &#8211; ChINOS 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The second ChETEC-INFRA Observational School (ChINOS) took place from 21 to 25 July 2025, as part of the European nuclear astrophysics project, ChETEC-INFRA. It was organised at Vila Lanna, the official residence of the Czech Academy of Sciences. Twenty students of different nationalities participated in the school. The Astronomical Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences (ASU) acted as the host institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ChINOS was developed within the European Starting Community ChETEC-INFRA to teach young scientists (Master&#8217;s and PhD students, as well as early-career postdocs) working in nuclear astrophysics about astronomical spectroscopic observing techniques. The programme included four nights of remote observations using the Nordic Optical Telescope (NOT) on La Palma in Spain. The observed spectra were analysed in small teams comprising the school participants.
