The workshop is intended mainly for introduction of the project to industrial and researcher partners within the Czech Republic. We will have some contributions from Geneva and Potsdam teams on UBV and RIZ spectrographs. However, we foresee as much time as needed for discussions.
At the end of the day, we should be able to formulate Czech contribution to ANDES and express our commitment.

Splinters description:
---------------------------------Science with ELT ANDES

The splinter aims at presenting the ANDES science consortium to interested Czech scientific community. In addition, presentations from selected
Czech scientists intending to use ANDES for their science are scheduled. During the splinter the ANDES consortium GTO and return to the Czech
scientific community will be presented.
ANDES will be the ELT's high-resolution (R ≈ 100,000) optical–NIR spectrograph, targeting biosignatures in exoplanet atmospheres, the first stars,
the stability of fundamental constants and the direct detection of cosmic acceleration. The splinter presents examples of ANDES-related science already
pursued in Czechia - exoplanets, Galactic archaeology, AGN, and stellar populations in nearby galaxies - and discusses which GTO science cases
Czech teams can realistically join.
