PLATOSpec is an international project led by the Astronomical Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences. The main partners are Pontifica Universidad Catolica de Chile, Thueringer Landessternwarte Tautenburg, Chile, Universidad Adolfo Ibanez, Chile, and Masaryk University, Czech Republic.

On the Czech side, the project is supported by the Czech Academy of Sciences and by the INTER Excellence program of the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.

The conference is also to honour the bilateral relations between Chile and Czech Republic. The relations are especially important for the astronomical research. The year 2024 celebrates the beginning of the diplomatic relations between Chile and Czech Republic.
