The Summer School will take place at Hotel Skicentrum in the city of Harrachov in the Czech Republic. Harrachov is located in the mountain area (Krkonoše National Park) in the north-eastern part of the Czech Republic close to the border to Poland.
The official currency in the Czech Republic is the Czech koruna (or Czech crown, Kč, 1 € is about 23-24 Kč)
We have pre-booked a number of rooms for the school participants with an arrival on Sunday, September 3 and departure on Saturday, September 16 (13 nights). The costs for accommodation including breakfast and touristic tax are
We will arrange the final booking, room distribution and occupation. Please indicate your preferences in your registration form. We will do our best to suit everybody's needs, but we cannot guarantee that every wish can be fulfilled because of the limited number of triple rooms.
In case you plan to arrive before September 3 or to depart later than September 16, you are required to arrange for these extra nights yourself with either the Hotel or any other accommodation in the vicinity.
Please note that the hotel requests payment of the accommodation upon arrival in either cash or by card. For students with granted financial support from the organizers, we will take care of the payments.
The easiest way to reach Harrachov from Prague using public transport is to take either bus 700 or 900 from the bus terminal in Černý Most (metro station Černý Most, line B, yellow colour). The travel time from Prague to Harrachov is 2h 30min, and the ticket price is around 200 Kč (186 Kč), it is possible to buy a ticket from the driver. The Hotel Skicentrum in Harrachov is located in 5 minutes walking distance from the Harrachov bus terminal.

Also the Flixbus company has a connection between Prague and Harrachov. Flixbus starts from the bus terminal Florenc (metro Florenc, cross line B (yellow) and line C (red)). Flixbus arrives to Harrachov Sklárna bus stop, located in about 20 minutes walking distance from Hotel Skicentrum.

From Prague Airport
To reach the bus terminal at either Černý Most or Florenc from Prague Airport you may use public transport. The connection between Václav Havel Airport Prague and Prague city is provided by public transport bus lines which operate at regular few-minute intervals. The bus stops are located directly in front of the terminals.
Bus 100 from the airport will bring you to the metro Zličín from where you will reach both Florenc and Černý Most via metro line B (yellow line). Travel time from airport to Zličín: ~18 minutes. Travel time from the airport to Florenc ~45 min and to Černý Most ~1h.
You may buy tickets for Prague public transport from the ticket machine either inside the airport or at the bus stop (outside the airport). The ticket is valid for all kind of public transport (metro, bus, tram). Do not forget to validate your ticket before entering public transport. Besides bus 100 there are bus 119 (Terminal 1/Terminal 2 → Veleslavín train station) and changing to metro line A (green line) as well as the Airport Express bus directly connected to the Prague Main Railway Station (Praha hlavní nádraží). For the Airport Express bus you have to buy the ticket from the driver.

To reach the bus terminal Černý Most or Florenc from the Prague Main Railway station you may use metro C (red line).

Note that there is no connection to Harrachov in the later evening anymore. You should make sure that you arrive to Prague early enough to catch one of the offered connections. Otherwise, we recommend you arrive one day earlier and stay in a place in Prague for one night before continuing your travel to Harrachov.
Free dinners ! In addition to the Reception on September 3 and the School Dinner on September 13, all participants will have free dinner at the school hotel on September 4-8, and September 11, 12, and 14. Only during the weekend and at the last evening (September 15) everybody is free to organize their dinner on their own.
