X-rays do not pass through the Earth’s atmosphere and can only be observed from space by special satellites. The expansion of the observational window into space to include the X-ray part of the spectrum has in the past provided important insights into events in space. The seventeenth in a series of successful workshops dedicated to high-energy astrophysics and ground-based experiments, in particular observations with robotic telescopes and X-ray satellites, is currently taking place in Karlovy Vary – from 23 to 26 May 2023.
