The Astronomical Institute of the CAS also participated in the Science Fair 2024 at the Prague Exhibition Centre in Letňany. The presentation “On the rand to new worlds” was held on the Science point by Mgr. Marek Skarka, Ph.D. from the Stellar Department. In his presentation he discussed the rapid increase in the number of known extrasolar planets and the question of when and if we will discover a second Earth and whether we even have the technology to do so at present.
